I am a fine-art photographer whose work transforms encounters with the natural world into collectible photographic artworks.

My connection with nature began in childhood through tropical fishkeeping and gradually developed into a lifelong passion for wildlife photography. After successful years in the tropical fish trade and international export, expeditions across the world took me from the rainforests of Asia to the Himalayas, Africa, the Arctic and Antarctica.

A turning point in my photography who was principally underwater came during an expedition in Malaysia, when I watched langur monkeys moving silently through the trees above our guesthouse. It was a simple encounter, but it changed the way I saw wildlife photography. Since then, I have sought not merely to document animals, but to capture emotion, atmosphere and the fleeting moments that reveal their character.

Since then, my journeys have taken me from the Himalayas in search of snow leopards to the remote mountains of northern Vietnam, photographing the Tonkin snob nosed monkey in its habitat to Antarctica and the wild landscapes of Africa, Asia and South America.

My work has been published or featured by the Natural History Museum, the Smithsonian Institution, Africa Geographicand KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. My photographic artworks are held by private collectors throughout Europe, and my work has been exhibited in Belgium and France.

Today, my photographs are created as fine-art works for private collections, interiors, hospitality spaces and professional environments. Each image carries the story of a real encounter and a place I have experienced firsthand.

I believe that photography can create more than visual impact. When we feel a connection with nature, we are more likely to care about protecting it.
