What we love , we protect

My connection with nature began at very young age, when my father introduced me to tropical fishkeeping. What started as a childhood fascination quickly became a lifelong passion. Later on I began photographing tropical fish. The desire to capture and share the beauty of living creatures had taken hold. My passion had grown into my first tropical fish shop, expanding into manufacturing and exporting products worldwide. Diving on coral reefs across the globe further deepened my respect for nature’s extraordinary beauty and its vulnerability.

During an expedition in Malaysia in search of new fish and plant species, I experienced my first profound encounter with wildlife above water.

At one evening, a group of langur monkeys moved silently through the trees above our guesthouse. That moment shifted my path forever.

Since then, I have traveled across many countries in search of rare and endangered species.

My journeys have taken me from the Himalayas in pursuit of the elusive Snow Leopard, over Antarctica to the remote mountains of northern Vietnam near the Chinese border to document the critically endangered Tonkin snub nosed monkey. These expeditions are physically demanding and often uncertain, but they represent my commitment to witnessing and preserving what remains of our wild world.

Through my photography, I aim to do more than document animals. I strive to create emotional connection. When people feel empathy for wildlife, they begin to care. And when they care, conservation becomes personal.

My work has been recognized internationally. Images have been selected by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to promote Japan, featured by the Natural History Museum with my flying cranes, published by the Smithsonian Institution with a chimpanzee portrait, and showcased by Africa Geographic with powerful scenes of gorillas and lions in streaming rain. Today, many of my images decorate homes, offices, and gardens throughout Europe.

Beyond photography, I regularly give lectures about Africa and its extraordinary wildlife, sharing stories from the field to raise awareness about conservation challenges and the urgency of protecting endangered species. I have also participated in several exhibitions in Belgium and France, where my work has connected audiences with the raw beauty and fragility of the natural world.

Each image is more than a decorative piece. It’s a silent witness of our planet, a reminder of beauty, a testimony of fragility, a call for protection.

By bringing these images into your space, you are not only investing in fine art, you are supporting a vision rooted in respect, empathy, and conservation.

Nature has given me a lifetime of extraordinary encounters. Through my work, I hope to pass this passion on to future generations, inspiring them to cherish, protect, and stand up for the wild places and creatures that still share our planet.
