In the Bwindi Impenetrable forest in Uganda, after a long steep climb over difficult trails, our guide suddenly told us to be quiet. A few moments later, we found ourselves in the middle of the gentle giants, the Mubare gorilla family. Laying in short distance from the main group, my attention was drawn by a mother and her youngster.
Both were resting in the lush green. It was a peaceful retreat of tenderness and affection compared to the vivid activity of the group on the other side. In this image, the beauty of the scene perfectly captures the essence of serenity. Catching expressions and emotions is what drives me in nature photography.
